Mangaluru: Worker electrocuted during building construction

Mangaluru, Feb 3: A worker died after a rod he was using during construction work came in contact with a live electric wire at a building site near Vamanjoor on the national highway.

The deceased, a resident of Kolkata, was working on rod-cutting at the building when the incident occurred. The front portion of the building had been demolished earlier as part of the national highway expansion work.

While working on the upper part of the building, the rod he was handling touched an overhead electric wire, leading to his electrocution.

Mangaluru rural police visited the spot and conducted an inspection. Further investigations are underway.
