Kokkarne Surendranath Shetty, Udupi district committee member, said, “The event will provide updates on developments related to government and judicial processes and will aim to strengthen the membership base. When the Karnataka Land Reforms Act was introduced, no specific changes were made regarding the Moolageni landholders, resulting in issues later on. The court has created a legal framework, approved by the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, and received the President's assent. It was officially notified in 2011 and came into effect in 2012, but established landowners opposed the amount and sought to prevent the law from being enacted. The law issued must be implemented.”
Secretary Sandesh Prabhu, treasure Shankar Prabhu, and executive member Ronal D’Silva, were present during the press conference.
