Konkani Kuttam Kindles To The Celebration of 'Natalanche' Fest

Rome, Jan 10: Konkani Kuttam rejuvenated to its home coming traditional Christmas celebrations held at Collegio San Pietro, here. Members travelling from miles graced this festivity in keeping the fervour of Christmas in family and a testimony of unity.

The Holy Eucharistic celebration and the choir in Konkani entranced the liturgical spiritual joy, presided by Fr Gregory Pinto, SVD. His homily reflected over the theological virtue of charity and God’s love in sending his only son and deducing “Jesus who went out if his way for loving us”. Br Rockwin Pinto assisted by Sr Reena Sra, Fr Felix Lobo, Fr Alfred Lobo amalgamated the glorifying liturgy with the classical hymns in the choir.

Nancy Pinto welcomed the gathering and Fr Charles Lasrado SJ delivered the Christmas message zooming the importance on Jesus rather tending towards temptations to distorted interference’s of celebrations. Christmas carols by Fr Alfred and group optimised the spirit and an appreciation to Fr Roshan Clifford Pinto outgoing member.

Traditional cuisines and flavours of home benchmark the Konkani gathering. Savouring these Kuswars, sumptuous relishes offered with love and goodwill of member’s complimented to taste and enriching the bonds of friendship. Fr Eugene Lobo SJ blessed the food.

Fr Stany Rodrigues OCD, thanked the warm dedication of all the members and of the organising team of Fr Rajesh Rosario, Nancy Pinto, Hillary Crasta, Susheela Rodrigues and family. Fr Sunil Renjar SJ mesmerised with his humour, games and compered the programme.

A new committee team members is elected with Fr Sunil Renjar SJ (Gurkar), Fr Wilfred Pais OCD, Susheela Rodrigues, Nancy Pinto and Hillary Crasta.
