Bantwal, Feb 9: A poultry transport pickup vehicle overturned on the interior road of Kalejimale Reserve Forest, which connects Kanyana, Kulalu, and Salethur. The driver fortunately escaped without serious injuries.

The vehicle, registered in Tamil Nadu, was navigating the steep uphill road through Kalejimale reserve forest after departing from Kanyana Junction. While giving way to an oncoming vehicle, the driver lost control, causing the pickup to overturn on the roadside.

Several chickens in the vehicle perished in the accident, while locals rushed to the scene and carried away the surviving birds. For chicken lovers, it turned into an unexpected feast. A crane was later used to lift the overturned vehicle.
