Udupi, Feb 10: The Platform of Women Entrepreneurs (POWER) honoured seven outstanding women at the valedictory ceremony of its three-day "Power Parba 2025" event. The closing ceremony was held on Sunday, February 9, at the Christian High School Grounds.
Women achievers from various fields, including Minusha Gopal Kanchan, Chaitra B Shetty, Vidushi Manasi Sudhir, Sulata Kamath, A Lakshmibai, Dr Gauri H J, and Dr Shruti Ballal, were conferred with the prestigious 'Power Star' title.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Udupi Municipal Council president Prabhakar Poojary, members Balakrishna Shetty and Harish Shetty, Bank of Baroda deputy regional manager Vidyadhar Shetty, and Kannada and Culture Department assistant director Poornima. Other notable attendees included event coordinator Suguna Suvarna, secretary Priya Kamath, treasurer Pushpa G Rao, registration coordinator Supriya Kamath, and members Sujaya Shetty, Reshma Thota, Nimitha Satish Chandra, and Jennifer Sapna Salins.
POWER president Tanuja Maben welcomed the gathering, while founder president Renu Jayaram and Poornima Shetty hosted the event. The vote of thanks was delivered by Shruti Shenoy.
The three-day Power Parba 2025, held from February 7 to 9, saw an overwhelming response from the public. The event’s various stalls, showcasing businesses run by women entrepreneurs, drew large crowds. The event’s vision of supporting women business owners and providing them with a platform to showcase their products and creations was fulfilled, with women entrepreneurs from across India participating.
