Udupi: Accused in 18-year-old case taken into custody

Udupi, Feb 12: The police have taken into custody an accused in a case that occurred 18 years ago within the jurisdiction of the Udupi city police station.

The accused has been identified as Abdul Hameed (48) from Chikkamagaluru.

He was apprehended by Udupi city police personnel Sanjay H C and Hemanth Kumar M in Tavarekere, Mandya district.

The accused was presented before the court, which has remanded him to judicial custody until February 25.
