Kasargod: Security guard stabbed to death in Uppala

Kasargod, Feb 13: A security guard was stabbed to death in Uppala Pete on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh (45), a resident of Payyanur.

The incident occurred around 10 pm. Though Suresh was rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru in critical condition, he succumbed to his injuries later that night.

According to police sources, Savad, a resident of Uppala, is suspected to be behind the attack. Preliminary reports suggest that a minor altercation between Suresh and Savad escalated, leading to the fatal stabbing.

Suresh was employed as a security guard at a flat in Uppala. Manjeshwar police have launched an investigation and are on the lookout for the accused.
