Kanachur Institute of Management and Science, Deralakatte, held its annual day celebration at the college ground on Wednesday January 11.
 
MLA U T Khader, the chief guest of the programme, distributed prizes to meritorious students and addressing the students said that Kanachur Institute has been doing a great contribution to society by way of educating students with a good system in place.

“Students being the resource of India, have to be educated with human values,” he asserted and congratulated the parents of students for admitting them to one of the best colleges in the locality.
 
Dr Ismail B, professor of statistics, Mangalore University, was the guest of honour. Prof Dr M Abdul Rahiman, chairman of advisory board, Kanachur Academy of General Education, presided. He also honoured the outstanding sportsmen of the institution.
 
Aparna and troupe led the prayer song. Principal of the college Herald Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Floraine Soans compered the programme. Rolphy Mascarenhas, Abdul Rasheed, student president, and Shahada Rahiman, trustee of the institution, were also present on the dais. A cultural programme was also held.
