Karkala, Feb 16: The government has officially appointed Dr Harsha Priyamvada, an IPS officer, as the new assistant superintendent of police (ASP) for the Karkala police subdivision.

Dr Priyamvada, a native of Jharkhand, is an MBBS graduate and secured the 165th rank in the UPSC exam in 2020.

As part of this reshuffle, the current Karkala DySP, Aravind Kalagujji, has been transferred.
