Mysuru, Feb 17 (IANS): Four of a family, including a 15-year-old boy, were found dead on Monday under suspicious circumstances at an apartment in Vishvevaraishnagar locality of Mysuru city in Karnataka.

The deceased were identified as 45-year-old Chetan, a labour contractor, his wife 43-year-old Roopali, their son 15-year-old Kushal and Chetan’s mother 62-year-old Priyamvadha. The police suspected that Chetan had poisoned the other three first before hanged himself to death.

Mysuru City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar visited the spot. She later said the police have taken up the matter for investigation and the reason for the incident is yet to be ascertained. "One family of husband, wife, son and mother are found dead. Mother was found dead in one of the flats and the rest were found dead in another flat in the same apartment complex.

The mother lived separately. The deceased Chetan, the head of the family had given a call to his brother Bharat residing in the US that he was committing suicide with his family. Immediately Bharat had called Roopali’s parents and asked them to reach the apartment of Chetan, Police Commissioner stated.

By the time they rushed to the flat, the incident had taken place. They had called the police at 6 a.m. and the jurisdictional Vidyaranyapuram police rushed to the spot and investigated the matter, she said.

Police sources said that Chetan was into sending workers to the Middle East and had taken extreme step over financial issues. The police have recovered a death note from the flat written by Chetan that the family is taking extreme step due to a financial crisis and no one else is responsible for the death of his family members.

In the death note, he further stated that the police should not trouble their other family members, relatives and friends over their deaths. Chetan also mentioned that he is sorry for taking the step and was responsible for the action.

Police stated that Chetan had made the call to his brother Bharat at 4 a.m., and police have taken up further investigation.

On September 17, 2021, five members of a family were found dead in their palatial house, within the Byadarahalli police station limits on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The police rescued a 2.5-year-old girl, Preksha, from the house. She was found in an almost unconscious state.

The deceased included Preksha’s mother, Sinchana (34), her grandmother, Bharathi (51), her mother’s sister, Sindhoorani (31), and her mother’s brother, Madhusagar (25), all of whom were found hanging from the ceiling. The body of the nine-month-old baby of Sindhoorani was also recovered from the house.

Preksha was discovered in the same room where Madhusagar was hanged. The police were astonished that she had survived for five days without food or water amidst the dead bodies of her loved ones.

It makes me very sad and angry too .Killing other members of family .He doesnt have the right to kill others because he made a mistake of going into a loss by sending people to gulf.God has given us life to live ,help but not kill themselves.Take help if you have problems but not to suicide.Poor girl has to live now without her family.Even God will not forgive for their self decision of killing themselves.

KILLING OWN FAMILY MEMBERS AND COMMITTING SUICIDE IS A VERY BAD AND SHAMEFUL IDEA. SOMETIMES RUNNING INTO HUGE LOSSES IS OUT OF OUR HAND, BUT JUST IMAGINE ONE DAY OR THE OTHER LITTLE BY LITTLE RECOVERY CAN BE DONE BY STARTING SOMETHING ELSE OR ATLEAST TRY TO RELY AND BE SATISFIED ON WHAT YOU HAVE ATLEAST TO SURVIVE. YOU HAVE PUT YOUR SELF AND THE INNOCENT ONES IN TROUBLE. TO COMMIT SUICIDE IS NOT A PLAN OF GOD....

Was it a right decision or wrong by Chetan don't know. But the whole family is gone now. All ifs and buts are to be buried now.
