Udupi, Feb 18: Silver jubilee celebration closing ceremony of Udupi District Working Journalists' Association's (UDWJA) will be held at the Ocean Pearl Hotel Conference Hall, Udupi on April 5, was announced during the special meeting held at the Udupi Press club on February 18. 

The closing ceremony will feature the distribution of awards to the winners of the sports competition, and a cultural program will also be organized. The responsibility for overseeing the cultural programme has been entrusted to Shashidhar Mastibailu, the assistant convener of the cultural committee.

The meeting was chaired by Muhammad Shareef Karkala, the convener of the committee. During the meeting, the committee’s finances were presented by the treasurer, Umesh Marpalli.

The meeting was attended by Udupi District Working Journalists' Association president Rajesh Shetty Alevooru, general secretary Nazeer Polly, silver jubilee celebration committee joint secretary Deepak Jain, along with other office bearers and taluk association presidents.
