Bangalore: Sandalwood Star Pooja Gandhi to Join JD(S)?

Bangalore, Jan 13: Sandalwood actress, Pooja Gandhi, who has a few successful films under her belt, has expressed her interest to join JD(S), it is gathered.

She is reportedly influenced by the ideology of the party and leadership of Kumaraswamy. She will be following in the footsteps of senior Kannada actresses like Tara, Shruti, and Ramya.

This information was given by JD(S) state women’s wing president, Jyoti Reddy. She revealed that the party plans to fortify its youth wing under the actress, in the build up to the 2013 assembly election. She said that the cause of sex workers and sexual minority have been dear to Pooja's heart.

Reddy said that Pooja has evinced keen interest in joining JD(S), and that she would be formally admitted into the party after the actress meets Kumaraswamy, once he comes back from a nature cure centre where he is presently resting, and she interacts with him.
