Udupi: 32-year-old musical artist dies by suicide

Udupi, Feb 20: A 32-year-old man killed himself on February 19 after hanging himself from the ceiling at his residence in Bylakere.

The deceased has been identified as Ashwath (32), a musical artist and son of Ramakrishna Devadiga from Bylakere. The reason behind the extreme step remains unknown.

Upon learning of the incident, social worker Nityananda Volakad, with the assistance of Sunil Bylakere, brought down the body and rushed Ashwath to the Ajjarkad District Hospital. Doctors confirmed that he was dead upon arrival.

ASI Subhash Kamath, head constable Harish Mala, and Jayakar from the Udupi town police station conducted the legal formalities.

A case has been registered at the Udupi town police station, and further investigations are underway.
