Puttur, Feb 20: A road accident involving two cars near Pulittady, close to Poly on the Mani-Mysuru National Highway, resulted in injuries to three individuals.

The accident occurred when a car traveling from Mangaluru to Puttur collided with another car heading to a wedding ceremony at the B C Road auditorium.

The wedding-bound car, decorated with flower bouquets at the front, lost control after a bouquet struck the driver’s side window due to strong winds. This caused the vehicle to swerve into the opposite lane and crash into the oncoming car.

The front portion of the car from Mangaluru was severely damaged, and the three occupants sustained injuries. They were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

Traffic on the highway was disrupted for some time following the accident. Puttur traffic police arrived at the scene and cleared the vehicles to restore normal traffic flow.
