Mangaluru, Feb 20: On January 25, second-year BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management students from batches A and B of the Institute of Port, Shipping, and Logistics Management (IPSLM) visited Bolas Agro Private Limited, a renowned importer, processor, retailer, and exporter of dry fruits and nuts based in Mangaluru, with a rich 60-year history.
As India's largest dry fruits brand, Bolas is trusted by leading supermarkets and retailers nationwide.
During the visit, students gained valuable insights into the intricate processes involved in sourcing, processing, and packaging dry fruits and nuts. They learned about the company's state-of-the-art facilities and advanced techniques that ensure the highest quality standards in their products.




The students were also introduced to the various logistics and supply chain challenges that Bolas Agro manages to maintain its reputation as a leading brand in the industry.
This visit provided practical knowledge and exposure to real-world operations, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practices.
The visit was organised under the guidance of Dr Sonia Noronha, dean of IPSLM; Prof Nelson Pereira, head of the BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management Department; Prof Sagar Srinivas, head of the BBA Port Management Department; and Prof Souparnika, coordinator of the Logistics course.
