Bengaluru, Feb 20: Karnataka police have arrested a madrasa in-charge in Bengaluru for allegedly assaulting girl students over minor mistakes. The incident came to light after CCTV footage of the assault surfaced on social media.

The accused has been identified as Mohammad Hassan, who runs a madrasa in Thanisandra on the outskirts of Bengaluru. According to police, the assault took place in the presence of his sister, the principal of the madrasa, along with other staff members.

Following the incident, parents of the victims staged a protest, demanding strict action against Hassan. A case has been registered at the Kottanur police station.

The madrasa, which has been operational since 2012, has around 200 students.

The CCTV footage, lasting over two minutes, shows Hassan and four staff members inside his chamber while several girl students stand at the entrance.

Hassan is seen grabbing a girl by her hair and dragging her inside before thrashing her on the back. He is also seen twisting another girl’s fingers, pressing an object into her hand, and slapping her multiple times on the head and cheeks. The video further shows him kicking a girl after she collapses and stomping on another student’s toes while forcing her to join both legs.

The video has left parents in shock, raising serious concerns about the safety of students at the madrasa.

Police have taken Hassan into custody for questioning, and further investigation is underway.

Shocking. He himself is looking like a Baccha and he is punishing these poor small girl? Is it the way they give classes in Madrasa? Thank God it came out thanks to cctv. Otherwise outsiders never would know this. Now give him same treatment and remove from Madrasa room. Why cant girls get classes from a woman? instead of only men? Even these muslim girls/kids have right like other kids to be free without punishment and hard beating. Hope that kid will recover from her assaults.

This matter is must to investigation done. Madrassa teacher is always austere scholars and not use violence to teach only use love methods to teach. So why this teacher behaving violently? It is serious matters. It is age old teachings that spare the rod and spoilings the kids . Maybe the child’s are refusing teachers instructions and making him angry. Nowadays no discipline kids. But teachers using excessive force is also wrong. Only proper unbiased investigations by a secular and impartial authorities from appropriate madrasa only can uncover the impartial truths of this matter. In this matter there is issue of privacy of kids and teachers also. Why there is cctv ? The teacher should have discipline kids in privacy, otherwise other kids are laugh and bully the victim. Education dept of madrassa should look into this

This is serious concern about treating the student in madrassa, in the education act govt of India the minority institutions have special rights and this comes under the special rights. One should not let the right wing peopuls to use the incident to create the communal problems. Instead hon CM peace be upon him should settle the matter by counselling Hasan about using less force when on camera . This Hasan person looks like junior version of Rahul Gandhi so one isn't surprising that he behave the same .

People with violet minds should not come into teaching, they spoil the next generation peace and kindness. It is nothing to do with religion. Violet trainers we have in all religions. Shun them all.
