Mangala College of Allied Health organises street play on ‘AIDS awareness’

Mangaluru, Feb 21: The Youth Red Cross Society unit of Mangala College of Allied Health and Paramedical Sciences, organized a street play, ‘AIDS awareness’ on February 15 at Tannirbhavi beach premises.

Under the guidance of Dr Ganapathi P, chairman and Dr Anitha G Bhat, vice chairman, awareness and information about AIDS/HIV was given to change the mindset of the society looking towards HIV positive persons. Efforts were made by displaying placards with slogans to eradicate the misconceptions about HIV. There were more than 100 spectators.

On this occasion, admission officer Dr Dharmaraja K, PRO Vijesh Kumar of MGEI, Tannirbhavi beach manager Sujith, student volunteers, Youth Red Cross in-charges Vijetha S, Sharanya S Amin and nursing faculty Shifas N, Tamil Selvan, research associate and laboratory technician Priya Kumari Sharma graced the event.
