Tulu film ‘Pilipanja’ completes shooting, set for release soon

Mangaluru, Feb 23: The much-anticipated Tulu film ‘Pilipanja’, produced by Pratheek U Poojary under the banner of YS B Group and Shiyan Production House, has successfully completed its shooting. Directed by young filmmaker Bharat Shetty, the film is set to offer a unique cinematic experience with advanced technology.

The film was shot in three phases across various scenic locations in Dakshina Kannada. The final schedule, which included five days of song sequences, was completed in areas like Salethur, Kulalu, Kadumatha, and Kudtamugeru. The filming concluded on February 6 with a traditional pumpkin-breaking ceremony.

Pilipanja features two songs and two action sequences, with cinematographer Uday Ballal capturing the mesmerizing landscapes of the coastal region. Choreographer Rajesh Kannur has handled the dance sequences.

The film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Ramesh Rai Kukkuvalli, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Sundar Rai Mandara, Ravi Ramakunja, Shiva Prakash Poonja Harekal, Pratheek U Poojari, Praveen Kodakkal, Ranjan Bolur, Prakash Shetty Dharmanagar, Rakshan Madur, Vijayhari Rai Kuriya, Dayanand Bettampadi, Bhaskar Manipal, Roopashree Varkadi, Jayasheela, Radhika, and Disharani.

The film’s production team includes producer Pratheek U Poojari, director and story writer Bharat Shetty, executive producer Ramesh Rai Kukkuvalli, cinematographer Uday Ballal, music composer L V Yas, editor Srinath Pawar, associate director Akshat Vitla, assistant director Sajesh Poojari, script and dialogue writer Suresh Balmatta, publicity head Jagannath Shetty Bala, stunt coordinators Suresh Shetty and Naveen Lobo, choreographer Rajesh Kannur, and production manager Karthik Shetty.

With filming now complete, the team is gearing up to bring Pilipanja to the big screen soon.
