SMVITM, Bantakal, signs MoU with Indian Society for Training & Development Mangalore-Udupi Chapter

Udupi, Feb 24: Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), a leading technical and management institution in Coastal Karnataka, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), Mangalore-Udupi Chapter on February 22. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the employability of students by facilitating comprehensive technical and soft skills training programs.

In a ceremony held at SMVITM’s campus, representatives from SMVITM included the principal, Dr Thirumaleshwar Bhat and director of Department of Business Administration, Dr Suraj Francis Noronha and Vidya Bhat, AO and placement officer –MBA

The ISTD Committee members included Brian Fernandes, chairman, ISTD, Mangalore-Udupi Chapter, Pritam Kamath, vice-chairman, Shivani Baliga –secretary, Peter Pinto, treasurer and other members.

Both parties outlined their commitment to developing transformative learning experiences that align with the societal needs of today's dynamic business environment.

The MoU focuses on mutual collaboration through various enrichment programmes, capacity building programmes, exchange of learning materials, and logistical support for conducting workshops, seminars, and training sessions leading to professional and personal development

The partnership is a significant step reflecting both institutions' shared vision of creating a robust educational framework that promotes lifelong learning and a holistic development of students.. Both parties are committed to leveraging this collaboration to enhance educational outcomes, foster innovative thinking, and improve the employability of students in alignment with evolving industry demands and competitive workforce.
