Udupi: International Tourism buyers district for KITE 2025

Udupi, Feb 25: The 2nd edition of Karnataka International Travel Expo (KITE) 2025 will be held from February 26 to 28, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru. This event is organized by the Government of Karnataka and the Department of Tourism. It serves as a platform to showcase the state's tourism sector, attract business opportunities, and strengthen Karnataka’s position as a major global travel destination.

As part of this event, the Karnataka Tourism Department has assigned international tourism buyers to visit various districts. One such team arrived in Udupi district on February 23. This team consists of 15 buyers from France, Germany, England, Korea, Norway, Singapore, Ireland, Israel, and Malaysia. The tourism department has taken them on a tour of prominent tourist attractions in Udupi, including Sri Krishna Matha, Handicraft Heritage Village Museum, Malpe Beach, St Mary's Island, Trasi Maravanthe Beach, Sai Dining, and other destinations.

Their lunch was arranged by Malpe Paradise Isle Resort, while UVA Meridian, Koteshwar, provided accommodation, dinner, and cultural programs. The event is attended by key officials, including the CEO of Udupi Zilla Panchayat, assistant director of Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, Udupi, assistant director of the Tourism Department, and the owners of UVA Meridian, Koteshwar.

At the end of the tour, the foreign buyers expressed their admiration for Udupi's natural tourist attractions, cultural heritage, and local cuisine. They also assured that they would promote Udupi as a preferred destination for international tourists.
