Young author Reshel Bretny Fernandes publishes book on power of education

Media release

Mangaluru, Feb 28: Young author and orator Reshel Bretny Fernandes has published her latest book, "Light of education brightens the world", through Tanisha Publications, New Delhi.

The book explores a progressive vision of education, advocating that true learning extends beyond the classroom and should ignite the inner potential of individuals, empowering them to become active contributors to society’s development.

In her book, Fernandes emphasises that education should serve as a powerful tool to build a knowledgeable and progressive society. She argues that the real value of education is realised when individuals apply the knowledge gained to improve their communities. Education, according to the author, is not just about academic knowledge, but also about life experiences that shape individuals to actively participate in societal development, remove negativity, and promote national and global growth.

The book further challenges the traditional view of education, stating that it is not only formal schooling but also the ability to engage meaningfully in society. Education, Fernandes writes, is about cultivating values, promoting harmony, and acquiring the skills necessary for building a better society. She advocates for a holistic approach to education, one that creates opportunities for economic stability and personal growth.

The book includes a foreword by Dr Rupa Vasudevan, chancellor of Bharatiya Engineering Science & Technology Innovation University (BESTIU) in Gownivaripalli, Gorantla, Andhra Pradesh. Dr Vasudevan praised Fernandes for her insightful approach to education and congratulated her on the publication of the book.
