Kasargod, Mar 4: A tragic road accident near Manjeshwar claimed the lives of three individuals from Paivalike on Monday. The accident occurred near the Uppala bridge on the Kasargod-Talapady national highway, which is currently under construction.
The ongoing highway work involves temporary barricades and dividers in various locations, causing confusion among drivers and leading to multiple accidents in the area.
In the latest incident, a car crashed into a divider with such force that the vehicle was completely shattered, scattering debris across the road. Of the four occupants, three died on the spot, while one person sustained severe injuries.




The deceased have been identified as Janardhan, Varun, and Krishna, all residents of Baikatte, Paivalike in Kasargod. The bodies have been sent to a hospital in Mangaluru for further procedures.
Local police visited the accident site and conducted an inspection.
