Mangaluru, Mar 4: Value education fosters a profound sense of responsibility towards the environment and society, encouraging sustainable practices and social accountability. St Agnes School (CBSE) celebrated its Value Education Day on February 27, dedicating the occasion to nurturing fundamental life values and inspiring students toward responsible living.
The celebration commenced with a heartfelt prayer, invoking divine blessings upon the gathering, followed by an enchanting dance performance that demonstrated the students’ devotion and faith. The vibrant welcome dance electrified the atmosphere, setting an exuberant tone for the day’s proceedings. Anishka R Prabhu warmly welcomed the esteemed chief guest, Reena Ranjith, while vice principal Sr Meena Fernandes AC graciously presented her with a potted plant as a token of appreciation.













































A captivating role play, performed by the students, underscored the significance of discipline in achieving success, and this message was reinforced by a motivational speech delivered by the students, highlighting the pivotal role of values in shaping responsible individuals. The students' creativity and love for nature were expressed through mesmerizing poetry recitals, while an energetic dance performance filled the air with joy and enthusiasm. A thought-provoking skit followed, emphasizing the importance of respect in building strong relationships.
As part of the Value Education Day celebrations, a variety of activities were conducted. The grade 1 students kicked off the festivities with an activity that highlighted the value of sharing. They brought in healthy snacks and shared them with their classmates, learning the significance of generosity and kindness. Grade 2 students showcased their musical talents by singing songs that promoted values such as cleanliness, loyalty, and punctuality. Grade 3 students displayed their remarkable role-playing skills, portraying scenarios that underscored values like honesty, responsibility, and empathy. Their engaging and entertaining performances provided valuable life lessons for their peers.
Grade 4 students demonstrated their public speaking abilities by delivering one-minute speeches on values such as kindness, respect, and perseverance. Meanwhile, grade 5 students expressed their creativity through artwork, illustrating values such as kindness, friendship, charity, and respect. The grade 6 students showcased their literary talents by composing and reciting poems celebrating the beauty of nature, Additionally, the grade 7 students performed a thought-provoking skit that explored the importance of respect, empathy, and compassion.
The chief guest, Reena Ranjith, delivered a profoundly inspiring address, imparting timeless wisdom on the transformative power of value education. Her insightful words resonated deeply with the audience, leaving an indelible impression. The programme was seamlessly hosted by Joella Dcruz, whose exceptional skills ensured a smooth and engaging flow of events. Chrisell D’Sa concluded the day with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the collective efforts that contributed to the event's success.
