Pruthvi Ambaar to make directorial debut with Tulu comedy film

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Mar 5: Actor Pruthvi Ambaar, best known for his performance in ‘Dia’, is all set to step behind the camera for his directorial debut, a full-fledged comedy film in Tulu. The film, which is slated to go on floors soon, will also be dubbed in Kannada.

Pruthvi, who started his acting career in Tulu cinema, says his choice to direct a Tulu film felt like a natural progression. “Direction was always on my mind,” he reveals. “It made sense to begin my directorial journey where my acting career began.”

Currently in the pre-production phase, Pruthvi is building a team, fine-tuning the script, and casting actors from the Tulu industry. He will not only direct but also play a pivotal role in the film, which will be shot entirely in and around Mangaluru, showcasing the region's charm.

Despite a busy acting schedule with projects like Life is Beautiful, Bhuvanam Gaganam, Chowkidhar, and Nagathihalli’s upcoming film, Pruthvi is excited to bring his vision to life as a filmmaker. He shares that while acting came to him by chance, directing has always been a goal.

“I want to make the kind of films I believe in,” he says, promising to reveal more details as the project progresses.
