Kaup, Mar 5: The consecration of Sri Hosa Marigudi Temple, Kaup, culminated with the grand Maha Brahmakalashotsava on its ninth day, held with religious fervor on March 5.
Thousands of devotees gathered to witness the sacred Brahmakalashotsava. The Maha Brahmakalashabhisheka was conducted under the guidance of Vedamoorthi K G Ragavendra Tantri, assisted by Vidwan K P Kumaraguru Tantri and other priests.



















The religious rituals of the Maha Brahmakalashabhisheka began at 8 am with Mangala Ganayaga, Shambhavi Kalamatrukaradhanam, Kalaratri Kalamatrukaradhanam, and Mandalacharanam, concluding with the Brahmakalashabhisheka of Goddess Mariamma. As part of the Brahmakalashotsava and re-consecration ceremony, sacred water (Ganga Jal) brought from Haridwar in newly consecrated pots on February 12, during the auspicious occasion of Kumbha Sankramana Purnima, was used for the Kalasha Abhisheka of Goddess Mariamma under the leadership of Jyotisha Vidwan K P Kumaraguru Tantri.
A total of 1,008 Kalashas were distributed, including one gold-engraved silver Brahmakalasha, nine silver Brahmakalashas, nine silver Dravya Kalashas, 88 silver Kalashas, and 901 copper Kalashas.
The temple was beautifully adorned with flowers, and a massive crowd of over 50,000 devotees thronged the premises to seek the blessings of Goddess Mariamma. Devotees offered prayers and made their offerings with deep devotion.
K Vasudev Shetty was conferred with the title of ‘Rajarishi’ on the occasion by Vidwan K P Kumaraguru Tantri.
The book Mariamma, authored by Navaneeth Shetty, was released by K Vasudev Shetty.
Following the Maha Brahmakalashabhisheka, devotees were served Prasadam.
Actress Pooja Hegde, accompanied by her family, visited the temple and participated in the ceremony. She offered prayers and sought the deity’s blessings on this auspicious occasion. Her presence added to the spiritual significance of the event as she joined devotees in the sacred rituals of the day.
K Vasudev Shetty, president of the Kaup Sri Hosa Marigudi Temple Development Committee (R), expressed his gratitude, stating, "Everything I have done is by Amma's will and for her devotees. This is the first time I am organizing such a grand religious gathering, and all I seek is love, affection, and blessings, not recognition. I do not desire any honors for the service I have rendered to Amma. My only prayer is for Amma to fulfill the wishes of all her devotees. I will continue serving Amma until my last breath and dedicate this title to her."
