Mangaluru, Mar 6: A 48-year-old man who had been absconding for nearly a year after being involved in multiple criminal cases, including theft, attempted murder, robbery, and fraud, was arrested by the police here.

The accused, identified as Muneer, a resident of Kasaba Bengre in Mangaluru, had evaded court appearances after securing bail in the past.

The Mangaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) police apprehended Muneer and handed him over to the Kavoor police station for further legal action.

Muneer was previously involved in cases registered at the Kavoor, Mangaluru Rural, Panambur, and Mangaluru South police stations. Despite being granted bail by the court, he failed to appear for hearings and remained in hiding until his arrest.
