IML 2025: Tendulkar’s fighting fifty not enough as Australia masters thrash India masters by 95 runs

Daijiworld News Network- Mumbai

Mumbai, Mar 6: A valiant half-century from cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar went in vain as India Masters suffered a crushing 95-run defeat against Australia Masters in the ongoing Indian Masters League (IML) 2025.

Batting first, Australia Masters posted a formidable total, powered by stellar performances from their top-order batsmen. Despite India Masters’ efforts to stem the flow of runs, the visitors capitalized on key partnerships and late power-hitting to set an imposing target.

In response, India Masters struggled against Australia’s disciplined bowling attack. Tendulkar stood tall with a well-crafted fifty, displaying glimpses of his trademark strokes, but lacked support from the other end. The batting collapse saw India fall well short of the target, handing Australia a comprehensive victory.

With this win, Australia Masters strengthened their position in the tournament, while India Masters will need to regroup and bounce back in the upcoming matches.
