Hyderabad, Mar 6: A local court has issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma in connection with a cheque bounce case.
The case was filed by producer Kiran Kumar, who alleged that Varma had issued a cheque that was dishonored due to insufficient funds. Following the complaint, the court had summoned the director for hearings. However, after he reportedly failed to appear before the court multiple times, the judge issued an NBW against him.

According to legal sources, the complaint pertains to financial transactions related to a film project. Kiran Kumar had earlier approached the court seeking action against Varma after the cheque issued to him bounced.
This is not the first time the controversial filmmaker has found himself embroiled in legal trouble. Over the years, he has faced multiple cases related to financial disputes and defamation.
Authorities are now expected to take further action in accordance with the court’s directive. Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Varma has yet to respond to the latest legal development.
