IFS officer dies after allegedly jumping from building in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri

New Delhi, Mar 7: A senior Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, Jitendra Rawat, allegedly died by suicide after jumping from a building in the Chanakyapuri area of the national capital, police officials reported on Friday.

According to sources, Rawat had been battling depression and was undergoing treatment. Police teams arrived at the scene following the incident and have launched an investigation.

A senior police officer stated, “No suicide note was recovered from the spot. Our teams are conducting a thorough probe, and preliminary findings suggest no foul play.”

Forensic teams have been deployed to examine the flat from where the officer allegedly jumped. Further investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.
