Jammu, Mar 9: In a shocking development, Union minister Dr Jitendra Singh confirmed that three missing civilians from Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district have been brutally killed by terrorists. Terming it a grave concern, he hinted at a deeper conspiracy behind the attack.
Taking to X, Dr Singh stated, “The brutal killing of three youths in the Bani area of Kathua is extremely sad and concerning. There appears to be a deliberate attempt to disrupt the peace in this region. The Union Home Secretary is reaching Jammu to assess the situation.”

The bodies of Jogesh Singh (35), Darshan Singh (40), and Baroon Singh (14) were discovered in the upper reaches of Billawar after they went missing on Thursday while traveling to attend a wedding.
Amid growing security concerns, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan is set to review the situation in Jammu, holding high-level meetings with intelligence agencies and security forces to formulate a plan for eradicating terrorism from the region.
The incident has sent shockwaves across the union territory, as similar cases of missing civilians later found killed or recruited by terrorists have been reported in the past. Earlier in February, three civilians from Kulgam had also disappeared under mysterious circumstances while en route to a wedding.
With terror threats looming over Jammu and Kashmir, security agencies remain on high alert to prevent further such tragedies.
