Hyderabad, Mar 11: In a heart-breaking incident, a couple in Hyderabad allegedly ended their lives after killing their two children, reportedly due to severe financial distress.
The tragedy unfolded in Ravindra Nagar Colony, Habsiguda, under the jurisdiction of Osmania University Police Station on Monday night. Authorities discovered the bodies of Chandrasekhar Reddy (44), his wife Kavitha (35), and their children Shrita Reddy (15) and Vishwan Reddy (10) in their residence.

According to police, the couple is suspected to have strangled their children before hanging themselves in separate rooms. The children’s bodies were found lying on a bed when officials arrived at the scene following a Dial 100 emergency call.
A suicide note, reportedly written by Chandrasekhar Reddy in Telugu, was recovered from the house. In the note, he stated that no one was responsible for their deaths, citing financial struggles and health issues, including diabetes and kidney-related ailments, as reasons for taking the extreme step.
Police revealed that the family originally hailed from Kalwakurthy in Mahabubnagar district and had moved to Hyderabad a year ago. Chandrasekhar Reddy had worked as a junior lecturer in a private college but had been unemployed for the past six months, which led to mounting financial difficulties.
Officials have registered a case of suspicious deaths and initiated an investigation. The bodies have been sent to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem, with authorities awaiting the autopsy report to determine the exact cause of the children's deaths.
