Udupi: 20-year-old woman goes missing after leaving to help mother at juice shop

Udupi, March 11: A 20-year-old woman, Saniya Nij, from Kaup taluk, has been reported missing since March 2. She had gone to assist her mother at a juice shop near the highway in Koppalangadi, Kaup, but has not returned home since.

Saniya is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a wheatish complexion and an oval-shaped face. She is fluent in Kannada, Beary, and Hindi.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the Kaup Police Station at 0820-2551033, the Kaup Circle Inspector’s Office at 0820-2572333, the Deputy Superintendent of Police’s office at 08258-231333, the Superintendent of Police’s Office at 0820-2534777, or the District Control Room at 0820-2526444.

    I know this family very well because their sugarcane juice is very famous... Whenever I drive through on this Highway.....we used to take juice for entire family. Her Mother is running this Juice centre on Udupi to Kaup highway roadside and her Father is running another Juice Centre exactly opposite side of the Kaup to Udupi highway road. But it's just unimaginable that this girl is absconding now. Very shy, simple and soft-spoken girl she is.... And she was helping her mother to run that shop too. Unless she is runaway her own.....we need to pray for this girl to be safe
