Puttur: Thief robs elderly man of gold ring under pretext of asking for directions

Puttur, Mar 13: An unidentified man on a bike stole a gold ring from an elderly person under the pretext of asking for directions at Ragidakumeru in Chikkamutnuru village late on March 11 night.

The incident took place at the residence of Satish Rai in Ragidakumeru (Badakayde), Chikkamutnuru.

A relative of Rai was sitting in the sit-out area when a helmet-wearing biker approached and asked for directions to Anadka. As the elderly man stepped forward to guide him, the miscreant swiftly snatched the gold ring from his finger and fled the scene.

Puttur town police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.

    Because of these thieves, we can't even do good to the really needy people. We have to be extra care full while interacting with persons with helmet, mask, paper and so on. Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.
