Jaipur, Mar 13: A government polytechnic college principal has been arrested on charges of sexually exploiting female students, police confirmed on Thursday.
The arrest follows a complaint lodged last month with the Technical Education Secretary by students and staff members against Principal Syed Mashkoor Ali. Acting on the complaint, Ali was suspended on February 3.
Authorities revealed that Ali allegedly molested multiple students and sent them inappropriate messages. The case escalated on Monday when a probe team, set up by the Technical Education Department, visited the college. However, students staged protests, demanding a fresh investigation into the matter.

In response, a police team arrived at the scene and formally registered a case based on the students’ complaints. The investigation was handed over to the Pratap Nagar police station, leading to Ali’s detention on Tuesday.
The following day, the victimized students recorded their statements in court, after which Ali was officially arrested, confirmed DCP (East) Tejaswini Gautam. The case is now under further legal proceedings.
