Kasargod: Scooter-lorry collision claims life of 23-yr-old rider

Kasargod, Mar 13: A scooter rider lost his life in an accident involving a scooter and a lorry at Udyavar in Manjeshwar on the national highway.

The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Anwas (23) from Uppala Kannadipare. Vin Fasl Rahman from Angadimogaru, who was also on the scooter, sustained injuries and has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

The accident occurred while they were traveling on an electric scooter. As they were heading towards Talapady, a lorry approaching from behind collided with them. Both sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the hospital, but Anwas succumbed to his injuries.

Anwas was employed at a mobile shop in Uppala.

Manjeshwar police have registered a case.
