KTR challenges Rahul Gandhi over Telangana CM’s ‘secret’ BJP meeting

Daijiworld Media Network - Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Mar 14: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K T Rama Rao has questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s silence over Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s alleged ‘secret’ meeting with BJP leaders.

Reacting to BJP MLA Raja Singh’s claim that certain BJP leaders met Revanth Reddy in secret, KTR took to X, asking, “Rahul Gandhi keeps talking about BJP infiltrators in Congress. Does he have the courage to act against his own CM, who is striking secret deals with the BJP?”

Accusing Revanth Reddy of engaging in ‘backdoor politics’ while publicly opposing the BJP, KTR alleged that the Congress CM was prioritising his political survival over Telangana’s progress. “It is shameful that a Congress CM is holding secret meetings with BJP leaders. Telangana has never seen such treacherous politics,” he remarked.

Slamming the Congress for what he called a ‘dirty political culture,’ KTR claimed the party was conspiring to destabilise Telangana. He also criticised the Chief Minister for neglecting key state issues, including the agrarian crisis and student suicides.

“Farmers are struggling, students are suffering, and yet the CM has no time for review meetings. But he has enough time for secret talks with BJP leaders. This is an unpardonable betrayal,” he said.

Warning that the people of Telangana would reject both Congress and BJP, KTR said, “Telangana has come too far to be dragged into the dirty tricks of these Delhi-based parties. Our society will fight back and ensure that these conspiracies fail.”
