Coast Guard officer’s son goes missing in Mangaluru; kidnapping suspected

Mangaluru, Mar 15: Hitein Bhadra (17), son of Jivan Kumar, a Coast Guard officer stationed in Panambur, has been reported missing since March 12 after leaving his residence in Kunjathbail.

According to reports, Hitein left home at 10 am, leaving behind his mobile phone and wallet. His father has lodged a complaint at Kavoor police station, suspecting that his son might have been lured and abducted.

Originally from Gopiballavpur in Jhargram district, West Bengal, the family currently resides in the Coast Guard quarters at Kunjathbail.

Hitein is 172 cm tall. On the day he went missing, he was wearing a light green round-neck T-shirt, a blue track suit, and white slippers. He also wears white-rimmed glasses. A distinctive black spot is present in the middle of his forehead. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Odia.

Police have urged anyone with information regarding Hitein’s whereabouts to contact Kavoor police station immediately.
