Kundapur: Three road accidents leave two dead; woman, children injured

Kundapur, Mar 17: Three separate road accidents in Kundapur resulted in two deaths, while a woman and two children sustained minor injuries.

In the first incident, a woman lost her life after being hit by a speeding Bolero pickup truck near a bus stop in Maravanthe on March 17. The vehicle, moving at high speed, veered onto the footpath and rammed into her just as she was about to enter the bus stop. She succumbed to her injuries on the spot. The tragic incident was captured on CCTV. A case has been registered at Kundapur police station.

 

In another fatal accident, Nithi Magaveer (26), son of Krishna Mogaveera and a resident of Mowadi, died after losing control of his bike and crashing into a compound wall near Mowadi, Gangolli, on March 16. The accident occurred around 8 pm while he was returning home after dropping his sister at the Kundapur bus stand. A case has been registered at Gangolli police station.

In the third incident, a woman and two children had a narrow escape after their scooter got trapped under a tipper truck following a collision with a car in Hemmadi, Kundapur, on March 17. The impact pushed the scooter off the road, where it got stuck under the wheels of a stationary tipper truck. Fortunately, they sustained only minor injuries. A case has been registered at Kundapur rural police station, and further investigation is underway.

    Ghastly accidents and I feel sad whenever I read the news of an accident Because I feel accidents are preventable to great extend I request all personal to drive at very careful speed and vigil on the road!
