New Delhi, Mar 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially joined Truth Social, the social media platform owned by former US President Donald Trump, following a post from Trump himself. The post shared a video link to PM Modi’s extensive podcast conversation with renowned US-based podcaster and computer scientist Lex Fridman.

Responding to Trump’s post, PM Modi expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for joining the platform.

"Delighted to be on Truth Social! Looking forward to interacting with all the passionate voices here and engaging in meaningful conversations in the times to come,” Modi wrote in his first post.

He further thanked Trump for sharing his podcast, saying, "Thank you, my friend, President Trump. I’ve covered a wide range of topics, including my life journey, India’s civilisational outlook, global issues, and more."

This move marks PM Modi’s debut on Truth Social, a platform frequently used by President Trump. His presence underscores the strong personal rapport between the two leaders and their ongoing diplomatic engagement.

The podcast, a three-hour-long conversation between PM Modi and Lex Fridman, was widely discussed after Trump shared it on his platform. The discussion delved into Modi’s life journey, India’s evolving role in global affairs, and personal reflections on his leadership philosophy.

Trump’s endorsement of the podcast was seen as a gesture of camaraderie, reinforcing his admiration for Modi. During the conversation, Modi commended Trump’s "resilience" and "unwavering dedication" to the United States, particularly in the face of challenges.

"Even after facing an assassination attempt during his campaign, President Trump showed no fear and remained steadfast in his commitment to America," PM Modi remarked.

He also emphasized their shared leadership principles: "His life is dedicated to his nation. His 'America First' spirit resonates deeply with me, as I firmly stand for 'India First.' This shared commitment is why we connect so well."

The strong bond between PM Modi and President Trump has been highlighted in recent diplomatic exchanges. The two leaders met last month during Modi’s visit to the White House, where Trump described Modi as a "tough negotiator" while reaffirming their mutual respect and friendship.
