Brahmavar: Gold chain weighing 12 gram stolen from woman at Barkur

Brahmavar, Mar 18: A chain snatching incident took place near Banashankari temple, Brahmavar on March 15.

The victim, Vasanthi (58), a resident of Hosalu village, was on her way home after attending a festival at the Barkur Mahishasura Temple. While walking near the Banashankari temple in Choulikere, Hosalu, at around 7.30 pm, a person riding a motorcycle came from the Yedtadi direction towards Barkur. The person approached the victim, grabbed a 12-gram gold chain from her neck, and fled towards Barkur.

A case has been registered at Brahmavar police station and is under investigation.
