Abu Dhabi: Karnataka CM to Attend Vishwa Kannada Sammelana on Jan 27

Abu Dhabi, Jan 16: Karnataka Rajyotsava award-winning organisation Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha in association with Vishwa Maanava Rastra Kavi 'Kuvempu Kalaanikethana' will be jointly organising 'Vishwa Manava Kuvempu Kala Utsava and Vishwa Kannada Sammelana' on January 27 at the Sheikh Zayed Auditorium, Abu Dhabi Indian School, Abu Dhabi.
 
The event will be graced by Karnataka chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda, along with state ministers V Somanna, Murugesh Nirani, Umesh Katti, Raju Gowda and member of parliament D B Chandregowda.

Dr B R Shetty and Sarvotham Shetty

Patron of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha Padmashree Dr B R Shetty will preside over the function and deliver the keynote address.

The event will start at 10.30 am.

Sarvotham Shetty, Karnataka Rajyotsava award winner and president of Karnataka Abu Dhabi Sangha told Daijiworld that the event will be a unique one, a fitting tribute to great Kannada poet Kuvempu. There will loads of cultural events from visiting troupes from bangalore as well as artistes from UAE.

Sammelana president Dr Latha Rajashekar, along with Dr Javare Gowda and Dr Malali Vasanth Kumar will also attend the event.

    I regret very much that I am not in Abu Dhabi to attend this event.When previously Mr Patel of Janata Dal CM & Mr.Kumaraswamy Of JD(S)CMS visited Abu Dhabi,I was there & it was great pleasure to meet them there.Good luck my friends B.R.Shetty & Sarvotham Shetty.U both can put forward once again our needs to develope our Mangalore,specially in connection with Infrastructure which needs utmost importance.

    Very Good that our chief minister visiting abu-dhabi for vishwa kannada sammelan,when he comes there, all our dakshina kannada, udipi district & other coastal leaving people of karnataka state should request to him take positive step to develope the manglore airport. extending it's runway & get manglore airport into International airport status.all Kannadiga should come together to pressure our chief minister.to get this job done.
