Mangaluru: Dr Prem Moras awarded PhD by Srinivas University for research on Konkani migration

Mangaluru Mar 22: Dr Prem Moras has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree by Srinivas University for his thesis on “A study of migration of Konkani people from Goa to Mangaluru and its surroundings”. He pursued his doctoral research under the guidance of Dr Aravind Shanbhag.

Dr Prem Moras, a native of Mangaluru, is currently serving as a lecturer in PG Studies, Konkani department at University College, Hampankata, Mangaluru, Mangalore University. His thesis contributes significantly to the authentic reasons for migration of Konkani people from Goa to Mangaluru and its surroundings.

He is the son of renowned Konkani writer late Paul Moras and Juliet Fernandes.

His academic achievement is a testament to his dedication and expertise in the field of Konkani.
