Udupi, Mar 22: The graduation day of the kindergarten section of St Mary's English Medium School, Kannarpady was held on Friday March 21, at St Mary's Auditorium.
The graduation day commenced with the academic procession of UKG students. Principal, Fr Vijay Joyson D'Souza declared the opening of graduation day. Students of LKG invoked the blessings of God. The dignitaries were escorted to the graduation ceremony with the honour of the school band. Aathmik Kukyan and Maharth Amanna of LKG extended the note of welcome. Dapsy Vaz, the coordinator of kindergarten section introduced the chief guest, Dr Shruthi Ballal.
Chief guest Dr Shruthi Ballal, addressed the gathering with her valuable words and gave insights on the importance of healthy food. She also spoke about the importance of praying for their parents, teachers and all who bless them.
UKG students attired in convocation gown and cap received the graduation certificates from the chief guest, and the correspondent. Babeena Karkera administered the oath of obedience and conduct to the little graduates.
Teachers of the KG section conveyed their good wishes to graduates through a wishing song. Rajashree Nayak presented words of appreciation and wishes on behalf of teachers. On behalf of graduates, Snigdha Aacharya of UKG - A and Varnavi AS of UKG- B expressed the words of gratitude. Fr Charles Menezes, correspondent, presided over the day’s ceremony and addressed the gathering. As part of cultural activity students of LKG performed a classical dance and a wishing dance.
Students of UKG expressed their gratitude through a song.
Maxim D’Souza, vice president, parish pastoral council; Fr Vijay Joyson D'Souza, principal and Rita Quadros, vice principal were present on the occasion.
Ciaan D’Souza and Ashel D’Souza of LKG anchored the formal programme. Diyan S Raj and Jiyanshi J Kotian compered the cultural programme. Sthairya S Poojary and Jiana Claire Barboza of LKG proposed the vote of thanks. Principal Fr Vijay Joyson D'Souza declared the closure of the award ceremony.
