Mangaluru, Mar 25: A striking new landmark is making waves in the Thumbay region of Mangaluru with the unveiling of a Hollywood-style “THUMBAY” sign, perched on a scenic hillside near the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway. Standing at an impressive 30 feet in height and spanning 150 feet in width, the white-lettered sign has quickly become a focal point, drawing admiration from travellers, locals, and social media users alike.

Inspired by the iconic Hollywood sign, the “THUMBAY” installation is the brainchild of Dr Thumbay Moideen, a visionary entrepreneur and founder of Thumbay Group. The sign has been strategically positioned on Thumbay Hills to give the area a distinct identity while promoting it as a unique destination in the region.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr Thumbay Moideen explained, “This landmark is more than just a sign. It is a symbol of belonging, progress, and pride for the people of Thumbay. Construction of the sign took over a month, with a dedicated team of workers and technicians ensuring that the installation was secure and visually striking. The “THUMBAY” landmark has already become a popular spot for visitors, with many stopping to take selfies and appreciate its grandeur.
