Rohtak, Mar 25: A shocking case of abduction and murder has emerged from Paintawas village in Charkhi Dadri, where a Yoga teacher was kidnapped and buried alive in a 7-foot pit. The gruesome crime, allegedly driven by a love affair, remained a mystery for three months before the police uncovered the truth.
Jagdeep, a resident of Mandothi village in Jhajjar district and a Yoga instructor at Baba Mastnath University in Rohtak, was abducted on December 24, 2024. His disappearance was reported only ten days later, and for three months, the police tirelessly searched for him. On March 24, 2025, authorities finally recovered his body and arrested two key suspects.
According to police reports, the crime was premeditated. The perpetrators, after assaulting Jagdeep, tied his hands and legs, sealed his mouth with tape, and buried him alive. The investigation revealed that his kidnapping stemmed from an illicit love affair. Allegedly, Jagdeep was romantically involved with a woman from the house he was staying in. When her husband discovered the affair, he, along with his associates, planned and executed the horrifying act.
Jagdeep had left for work as usual on December 24 but never returned. His missing person’s report was lodged at the Shiv Colony Police Station on February 3. As part of the investigation, the police analyzed call records, which led them to two suspects—Hardeep and Dharmapal. Upon their arrest and subsequent interrogation, the chilling details of the crime came to light.
Police revealed that after being kidnapped, Jagdeep was forcibly transported in a car to Paintawas village. There, a pit had already been dug under the guise of a borewell excavation. The accused then proceeded to bury him alive in the pre-dug pit, ensuring no traces of the crime remained.
Crime Investigation Agency (CIA-1) unit in-charge Kuldeep Singh confirmed the arrests of Hardeep and Dharmapal. He stated that multiple accomplices were involved in the crime and that efforts were underway to apprehend the remaining culprits.
The breakthrough in the case came through meticulous call detail analysis, allowing investigators to connect the dots and zero in on the prime suspects. The body of the deceased was sent for a post-mortem at PGI, where a team of doctors conducted an autopsy.
Authorities have assured that justice will be served and all those involved in this brutal crime will face the law.
