Mangalore: Religious Fervour Marks 'Punar Prathista' Ceremony of Lord Venkataramana

Mangalore, Jan 17: The ‘Punar Prathista’ or re-installation ceremony of Lord Venkataramana, the deity of was held at Venkataramana temple, Car Street, was held on Monday January 16, by Swami Sudhindrateerta of Kashi Mutt and his disciple Swami Samyameendrateerta.

Venkataramana temple managing trustee C Laxman Shenoy, trustees K Madhav Kamat and Nityanand Nayak, temple renovation committee president M Padmanabha Pai, chief advisor Dr P Dayanand Pai, secretary S Satish Nayak, MLA Yogish Bhat and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Swami Samyameendra inaugurated the newly-built cow shelter after distributing ‘prasadam’ to a large gathering of devotees.

The temple celebrants and other priests performed various religious rites at the temple.

    It is a once in a Life time opportunity and My travel to USA spoilled every thing. But Lord must have heard my prayer and I got the website which broadcasted the Live telecast. I could see this from USA. Really blessed to see the event live. The temple has become Bhu Vaikunta.
