Car carrying Udupi journalists overturns in Sakleshpur; two seriously injured

Sakleshpur, Mar 29: A car carrying journalists from Udupi overturned near Ballupete village in Sakaleshpur taluk on Saturday evening. Among the four journalists in the vehicle, two sustained serious injuries, while all survived the accident.

The journalists were returning to Udupi after visiting the Shri Shanishwara Swamy Temple near Palya in Alur taluk when the mishap occurred.

ETV Bharat reporter Sandeep suffered serious injuries, while Praja TV reporters Jayant, Nagaraj, and Sudarshan sustained minor injuries. All were given first aid at Crawford Hospital in Sakleshpur and are being shifted to KMC Hospital in Manipal for further treatment.

The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Sakleshpur town police station.
