Mangaluru, Mar 29: The Karnataka government has announced the recipients of the prestigious Chief Minister’s Medal for the year 2024, recognizing 197 police officers for their exceptional service. Among the awardees, Mangaluru police commissioner Anupam Agrawal has been selected for the honour.
Several officers from Mangaluru and surrounding areas have also made it to the list, including ACP of Mangaluru sub-division Dhanya Nayak, Bantwal rural police station inspector Shivakumar B, Ullal police station inspector Balakrishna and PSI Santhosh Kumar D, Surathkal police station inspector Mahesh Prasad and PSIs Raghavendra Manjunath Nayak, Anappa, and Umesh Kumar, as well as Kankanady police station officer Reji V M.

Officers from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Mangaluru who will be honoured include Sheenappa, Rithesh, Sudhir Kumar, Santhosh Kumar, Damodar K, Vijaya Shetty, Shridhar V, Prakash S, Abhishek AR, Anjanappa H, Bheemappa Uppara, and Purushottam.
The Chief Minister’s Medal is awarded to officers for their outstanding contributions to law enforcement, public safety, and maintaining peace in the region.
