Kasargod: Police constable dies in bike, lorry collision

Kasargod, Mar 30: A police constable lost his life in an accident between a bike and a lorry at Padannakkad this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Vineesh (35), a police constable from Hosadurga police station. The accident occurred while he was on his way to the station from his home in Karivellur on his bike.

At the Padannakkad railway overbridge, a tanker lorry heading from Nileshwar to Kanhangad collided with his bike. Vineesh sustained severe head injuries, and although he was rushed to the hospital, he could not be saved.

His body has been shifted to the district hospital for further procedures. Hosadurga police have conducted a spot inspection and registered a case.
