Upon receiving the information, Ullal police arrived at the scene and began investigating the origins of the bones.
The laboratory-style processed human bones were found inside a packet near the premises of a house in Chitranjali Nagar late on Saturday night. As the news spread, curious residents gathered at the location. The police seized the packet for further examination.

During the investigation, it was revealed that a local woman had disposed of the packet near her house. The woman, employed at the residence of a retired doctor in Mangaluru, had reportedly brought some household items from the doctor's house after he vacated the premises. Among these items was the packet containing the processed human bones, which she later discarded near her compound.
In an unrelated incident last week, a young man who had performed a dance during the annual event of a local organization in Chitranjali Nagar had lost his rented costume. While searching for the missing costume on Saturday night, he stumbled upon the packet containing the bones and reported it.
The police are continuing their investigation to gather more details regarding the origin and nature of the bones.
